A wireless photo printer is great for families that have both a wireless connection and a lot of memories to print out! I know for a fact that in my family a lot of pictures are wasted because simply getting them printed out was too much hassle. It is lazy and it's something I know my parents do regret, but with a printer that can print perfect photos and do it all wire free there's no excuse not to a photo book brimming with treasured memories.
A wireless photo printer is exactly what it sounds like, it's a printer that printers photo-quality pictures. Unlike regular desktop printers however it doesn't require a cable running to it from the printer, it can connect to your home wireless network and stay connected as long as it's on. When it's off and you want to turn it on most printers will automatically connect to the pre set network for ease of use. This means that anyone in the house that's connected to the wireless network can print of photos and pictures incredibly easily.
There are actually some cameras now which can actually connect to the home wireless network too, so if you have the appropriate camera all you literally need to do is hit the print button and everything else is taken care of. As you can imagine for many people this is incredibly handy, and even if you don't have one, it's much less hassle and it's a lot easier to upload the pictures from the camera to the computer and then press print - as opposed to having to go out to the shops to get the pictures developed.
You may expect this type of a gadget to be unreasonably priced, but you can buy them from 80-250 dollars depending on what you want and the specifications of the product. Although they are obviously more expensive than most printers they've still quite reasonably priced, and you can get a decent mid range product for around 125 dollars - it's a decent sum of money but I wouldn't say it's anywhere near the extortionate prices you pay for some gadgets nowadays.
If you are looking for a wireless printer I'd recommend Hewlett Packard for some really great products, they have good quality products at reasonable prices. It's also worth checking out online prices because you can almost always get this type of gadget cheaper online than on the high street.
